I am test driving the 2021 Hyundai Veloster N, a very unique Sporty compact coupe. The Veloster is fun to ride with an original asymmetrical design with a hidden third door on the passenger side. The Veloster N is Hyundai’s first U.S. model from its high-performance N series.
The new Veloster is perfect for an adventurous journey through small streets in the old Spanish-style city of Saint Augustine, Florida. I am able to park in the smallest spaces and squeeze through really small old streets where some cars won’t be able to ride.
Veloster
Hyundai re-invented the Veloster for the 2019 car year model, with new trims and a new design. This original modern compact coupe made its Hollywood debut in the movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, with a fast roller coaster of emotions throughout the film. Super Hero fans can enjoy the speed and exceptional performance capabilities of the all-new Hyundai Veloster playing an important role in this movie. This is one of many innovative marketing strategies that Hyundai has used to promote the Veloster to its specific target market of young drivers.
Drivers love the Veloster because its cool compact design, the humming loud sound of its engine, and especially because of the original exterior design of this sports coupe.
The Veloster is a Mini-Hyundai, you can get a lot of the technology and style known on Hyundai vehicles, but with mini size. It is very small, and some drivers love its small size. The coupe shape makes its exterior design vintage and very attractive.
The Veloster is perfectly sized for the city, with small streets and compact parking lots. Easy to drive, easy to maneuver, and easy to park. It can save a lot of space in your garage or on the street. Ideal for big cities where space is limited. However even if is very compact and small, somehow it doesn’t feel as small inside, and it has a reasonably good size cargo area in the trunk. The Veloster seems to be made for New Yorkers and Europeans being able to fit the smallest roads and parking spaces.
As you enter the Veloster, you will feel enough space in the front and back. The third door on the back in the passenger side helps to save space when entering and leaving the back of the car.
The 2021 Veloster N
The 2021 Veloster N is a high-performance hatchback that combines a sport style, great safety features, and highly concentrated performance.
Hyundai’s first U.S. model from its high-performance N series.
Every Veloster N model was produced in Namyang, Korea, and was tested on one of the world’s most demanding race tracks in Germany.
In South Korea, the Veloster is marketed under the name Hyundai Premium Youth Lab, a brand with a focus on a young generation of drivers.
“Veloster N demonstrates Hyundai’s approach to high-performance cars…Anyone who wants a fun driving experience will jump at the chance to pilot the new Veloster N – an everyday sports car with racetrack capabilities.”

Engine and Performance

The Veloster N is Equipped with launch control, delivering a fast-speed adventure. There are three high-performance functions available to get you full control over the Veloster:
- “N Power Shift”
It Provides a dynamic shifting style, giving you a push-feel after shifting, designed to mimic the sensation of a manual transmission. - “N Grin Shift”

Senses when road conditions are optimal for dynamic driving and automatically activates, selecting the right gear and shift timing for optimal performance, allowing you to focus on steering.
Exterior style
The cool design of the Veloster N matches the brand’s high-performance style with aerodynamic, aggressive, and bold image. In the front of the Veloster, you will find an aggressive grille with the N badge. Standard LED headlights and daytime running lights provide excellent visibility and striking looks.
To continue with the sporty look of the Veloster N, it features a high-flow active sport exhaust with a variable actuator to deliver an incredible soundtrack of crackles and pops with every shift.
To complete the fantastic look of the Veloster N, machined-finish lightweight 19” alloys, its tread pattern and nano-composite compound tailored for optimal grip, lateral stability, and stopping power.
Interior style
The Veloster N is very sporty and attractive on the inside, especially the race-ready seats. The new N Light-Sport Seats are wrapped in cloth and leatherette upholstery to firmly hold the driver in position during spirited driving.
Track-ready seats are thinner and lighter, with a weight reduction of 4.4 lbs. N Light Sports Seats have an illuminated N logo on the upper side of the backrest, adding to the interior aesthetic. The N logo illumination operates in conjunction with other interior lights to create a distinctive interior ambiance.
The large 8.0″ touch-screen inside the Veloster helps you drive your Veloster better while connecting with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity features to allow you to easily connect to stream music playlists, use voice commands for text messages or use other apps from your phone.
Safety Features
The Veloster is ready for fast speeds on the racetrack, but as a fast and compact car, it needs to be safe. Hyundai SmartSense safety features include a range of camera, radar, and motion detection technologies to protect its passengers and surroundings.
The top of the line trim, Veloster N, includes several new standard driver assistance features, including Forward Collision-avoidance Assist, Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Warning, and Rear Cross-traffic Collision Warning.
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) assists the driver by warning of other cars in the blind spot region. It senses the rear side territory of the vehicle when it is traveling over 20 mph. Then Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW) helps drivers back out of a parking space by detecting traffic coming from either side of the vehicle.
The Veloster is safe, fast, with a unique style and low-priced so that everyone can enjoy one Veloster.
